The app is visually appealing but sorely needs the ability to password protect.
Its a great way of watching your weight fluctuate. It helps you see where you stand in relation to your healthy BMI. I thought you would be able to track multiple people, like my wife and myself, but it will only do one person.
An excellent app that is very simple to use to keep track of your weight and subsequently your BMI. While I dont use the target weight function (I use it to monitor my weight to maintain it at a stable level), that would be a very useful feature for those who are working towards a target weight within a specific timeframe. The charting/tracking features are nice to see your weight and BMI history. And the price is just right: free.
In many organized weight-loss systems you simply attend a Sunday afternoon meeting, where you weigh in and receive applause when (if) you lose weight. Some of these are expensive; I know several that cost $200 a month for the priveledge of networking and having a communal weigh-in. This little App and a good bathroom scale can do the same thing. You weigh yourself and record the weight. The App reminds you subtly that you still have (say) 15 lbs to lose to reach your goal. It charts your progress or lack of progress. It lets you see your baseline weight and the ups and downs but also your real losses. It makes a GAME out of losing weight. It has a pretty interface and is fun to use. First rate.
I use this app everyday in order to track my weight loss. The BMI is nice to have but I do question its accuracy without having a waist line measurement , according to BMI I have to lose way too much weight to be "healthy". Again this is a great app that gives you great graphical representation of your weight loss success.
Just needs to show Remaining weight in lbs per day to be a 5. Keep up the great work!
This app could charge money for this. Its a simple way to keep track of your weight and visualize what BMI you want to be at. I also love how the amount of weight you want to loose is kept as a number bubble in the top corner on the main iphone screen... You cant hide from the number!
I used this app for a few months. It has a good user interface and provides all the basic functions. I particularly liked the weight input method - very easy. Also, I liked the charting that span short and long periods. However, after a few months of daily use it crashes on startup - every time. So all my data is lost. I suspect this app has not been thoroughly tested; so once its allotted memory is used, it dies. Most unfortunate.
I loved this app, but For the past week or so, I havent been able to get into the app, all I get is a black screen, not sure if I have lost all the data or not.
This looks like a good app, I just wish there was a way to keep track of more than one persons weight.
I use it twice a day to enter data and regularly look at the graph for motivation. I enter data in the morning and evening, that helps me control what I eat during the day, helps me say no to high calorie food. Thx to this app, daily 60min spinning plus crunches and watching what I eat, I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. 15 more to go then I start to do weights. Im a bit scared to loose my data based on other comments, but it can be exported, however for me this feature crashes me back to desktop. I reported it.
Decent free app, good stats and number shows on app page as a reminder....will use it daily.
Really good motivator with remaining lbs to loose and, moreover, the estimated date you could reach your target - helped me keep motivated and focused!
Just did an update. It deletes all the historical data. This is second time of mess up a big time for me. Last time during the new year, the update had problem to display the historical data cross the year and it kept crashing. The only way to recover is to delete the profile and I lost all my previous year data.
This app is incredible. Its predictions and statistical breakdown are great for maintaining motivation. My goal for 2011 was 40lbs lost and Im going to have to alter that as I should easily reach it by the midpoint of the year.
By far the best weight loss app out there. Simple and quick to use, great use of stats and graphs with multiple time frames you can view, and good ability to change and add previous weights. Recommended for anyone losing or maintaining weight.
